Designing a media library for sharing education resources

HERO is a project of The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, whose mission is to encourage national and international audiences to learn from the past through preservation, restoration, and presentation of 18^th-century Williamsburg.

Avendi Media worked with the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation to design an online portal for K-12 educators and students, providing access to its vast library of teaching and learning resources. Special considerations for the project included making the site easy to navigate, including how resources are grouped and presented on the page. Projection capability was also a consideration for classroom use, necessitating the use of bold, saturated colors.
